Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing San Francisco premiered this summer to a franchise record-breaking 1.1 million viewers and Justin Fichelson, a top Bay Area broker with clientele focused in the tech industry, has already become a runaway fan favorite. We asked the native San Franciscan (who once did a stint as an intern for Gavin Newsom) to open up about his travel staples and favorite places to jet set.
H: So, tell us. What’s in your carry-on?
JF: Laptop, book, Fiji water, Tom Ford sunglasses, organic toothpaste, a high-end moisturizer for face and hands, a cashmere LANVIN scarf.
H: Carry-on bag of choice?
JF: Hartman tweed duffel.
H: How often do you travel?
JF: Europe three times a year and once a month somewhere for work, whether it’s NYC, LA, or elsewhere. Big Sur is my favorite weekend getaway!
H: First, business class or coach?
JF: First! It’s more comfortable, easier to take a quick nap, and there’s better service. You can also work more easily without being interrupted.
H: Ok, now that we’re warmed up, let’s play a game of favorites. Favorite city to visit for work? Why?
JF: London, because of the sense of history, style, and culture.
H: Favorite city for play? Why?
JF: New York. Best nightlife and the energy is intoxicating!
H: Favorite hotels?
H: Favorite airline? Airport? Airport Terminal?
JF: Terminal 2 in SFO is one of the nicest terminals anywhere in the world! Emerites first class is amazing. Otherwise, do Virgin America to NYC.
H: Any travel tips before you take off?
JF: Pack light! I pack super light and almost never check bags; thus, I don’t lose luggage. Buy cosmetic products when you arrive and you can always buy more clothes when at your destination.
